Bryan Ehlers Obituary

Bryan Ehlers passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the age of 57. Bryan was born to Loren and Mercedes Ehlers on July 1, 1952 in Las Vegas, Nevada at Nellis Air Force Base. His family soon moved to Lodi where he spent the rest of his childhood.
Bryan graduated from Lodi High in 1970 and continued his education at California State University, Chico. He graduated in 1974 from CSU Chico with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and received his Master's degree in 1976. While in school, Bryan played baseball for his collegiate team and local minor leagues.
He met Michele Bonotto at Lodi High School and they were married in 1975. They soon moved to the Bay Area where they each began their careers. Over the next decade, Bryan worked as a research and development engineer for Control Data Corporation, Hewlett Packard, and Apple Computer Inc. He continued to play softball and was a member of the Saratoga Volunteer Fire Department.
In 1991, Bryan and his family relocated to Lodi, where he was a local business owner for the last 20 years. Bryan enjoyed wild game hunting, golfing and was a member of the local Lodi Elks Lodge and of the I.O.O.F.
Bryan is survived by his wife Michele, daughters Nicole and Brittany, mother Mercedes and brother Mark. At the family's request there will be no visitation and inurnment will be private. Donations may be made to the Lodi Elks Lodge and the I.O.O.F. Hall.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Donahue Funeral Home.

I just learned about Bryan and was very saddened. Although we haven't kept in touch I always cherished my friendship with Bryan. Bryan was bigger than life and a great person. I am very sorry for your loss.
