Elaine Sandman Obituary
Elaine was born on December 14, 1930 in Los Angeles, California to Phyllis and Louis Rose.?Elaine attended El Dorado School, Stockton High, Stockton College, College of Pacific, and Stanislaus State. Elaine returned to school after raising her four children, to obtain her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from Stan State. Elaine was a Teacher, Supervisor, and Manager in the Head Start Program of San Joaquin County, retiring after nearly 25 years of service.?
Elaine married Jack, her childhood sweetheart, on January 27, 1952 and began what was a wonderful 63 years together.
Elaine loved gardening, travel, and was an avid bridge player. She belonged to several bridge clubs, including one made up of longtime friends dating back to early grammar school. She loved her family and friends and will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the San Joaquin County Historical Society and Museum at 11793 N. Micke Grove Road, Lodi, 95241, or the charity of your choice.
