Gloria Padilla de Morales , 74, of Lodi, California, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at home. Born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas to Jesus and Concepcion Padilla.
Gloria was a retired accountant, she was known for her accuracy and work ethic in a time when computers were not used, a fact that she was very proud of. She enjoyed playing loteria with family and friends, lottery scratchers and spoiling her grandsons. She was also so wise, you knew it by the great advice she always gave.
Gloria is survived by her three children, Nancy, Jorge and Martin Morales Jr.; and grandsons, Miguel and Ethan Cervantes. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She always said they were her life and never missed an opportunity to say how proud she was of all of them.
Gloria is also survived by her brothers, Gustavo and Antonio Padilla; her sister, Maria Elena Padilla, as well as many loving brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
Gloria is preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 43 years, Martin Morales. They were married in Brownsville, Texas on December 27, 1977. She is also preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Concepcion Padilla, and her sister Ana Celia Padilla.
Viewing will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park: Vineyard Chapel, 14165 N. Beckman Rd. Lodi CA on Thursday November 11, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Service will be at the same location as viewing on Friday November 12, 2021 at 1:00pm.
Please do not attend if you're feeling sick.
