Grant S. Fletcher of Sutter Creek, CA passed away on March 21, 2021 at his home in Sutter Creek. He was born in Washington, D.C. on January 25, 1958.
Grant joined the U.S. Army in 1982 and served active duty for 2 years and reserve for 4 years. He attended and graduated from San Diego State University in 1986 with a degree in business administration. Grant worked as a financial advisor for over 30 years for various financial firms when he moved on to owning his own financial planning business. He participated in many activities such as being a past Lions' Club President, coaching junior team tennis in Amador County and serving in his church as a deacon and worship leader. Grant enjoyed surfing, skiing, running, backpacking, and spending time with his family.
Grant is survived by his wife of 31 years, Janyce; children, Evan (Audra) and Erin (Allan); grandsons, Lucca, and Liam; siblings, Clay (Jan), Marc (Donna), Ashley (Gene), and Ian (Monika); Uncle Jim and Aunt Marta; stepbrother, Nick (Julie); stepsisters, Deana (Jay) and Linden; stepmother, Susan and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Fletcher and Mary Fletcher.
His life cannot be summed up in a few words. He was larger than life and lived it to the fullest. The most loving, kind, faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He touched many lives during his time on earth. We thank God for the blessing of his presence in our lives.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.danerimortuary.com and signing the guest book.

I had the pleasure of knowing Grant for over 15 years in my capacity. as his Mail Carrier in Lodi. Grant always went out of his way to ask me how my day was going.. He made you feel as if you were important. I will miss our conversations about the Post Office or the trips that he looked forward to going on. My deepest sympathy to Grant's family and friends.

Janyce, Evan & Erin,
Such heartbreaking news to read of Grant's passing away.... a life well lived, a life cut too short. May you find comfort in knowing Christians have that great day too look forward to when Christ returns and unites his children with him. May God keep you in his care until then.....

I have vivid memories of Grant from a mission trip to Fiji in 2013. He saved us die-hard caffeine addicts with his Peet's Coffee and French Press. He borrowed by brother's book and bought him a replacement after it was rained on. We teased him for upgrading himself to First Class on the plane while we languished in Coach. He was Captain Grant, a warm and funny personality to be near.
I am so sad to think he is no longer here.
Love and Sympathy to his family and friends, with hope we will be reunited someday soon.

The passing of a loved one strikes pain and sorrow into one’s heart. However, the memories one holds close spark joy and gratitude for the time shared here on Earth.

While grocery shopping recently, I happened to run into Mr. Fletcher. We exchanged news about our families and how things were going.
Mr. Fletcher was elated to share. He cared so deeply about those he held close to his heart.

May he rest in eternal peace.

Grant and family. For many years you were my financial advisor but more than that you were my friend. To this day I will never forget how you helped me obtain a drivers license after I lost my wallet and all forms of photo identification needed for a replacement license. You did it to help and old guy who didn’t know how to navigate the system. My condolences to you Grant and your family. You made this world a better place.

Grant was an awesome, giving and fun person to be around. He was a man of conviction and loved Gid and serving him. Had the pleasure of being with him working on a church related building program in Fiji and also going on several weekend getaways to Albion and Leoni meadows. May you RIP until Jesus comes soon.
