Harold was part of my life from the time I was in kindergarten and he shared part of his lunch with me because I went to school with my dad. He was such a good listener. I particularly appreciated that he would occasionally call my mom to talk with her after my dad died. He was so special to me and my family.

Debra and Diane, So sorry for your loss. I remember your dad was always so pleasant and funny. Your mom and him sure put up with our giggles and down the street "meetings". It was a fair deal watching over your house, while you guys were on vacation, for a freezer full of M&M cookies!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

Mr. Schmidt was a fun and positive Principal of St. Peter, Lodi, from my first through sixth grade education. I have fond memories of field trips, sporting events, so forth and so on. More than once I was caught off guard by his dry wit and straight-faced humor. I remember him supporting my Dad through some difficult times at the church. I visted with him as an adult, of course, but I could not comfortably call him Harold, because he was always Mr. Schmidt to me. Rest in Peace, Mr. Schmidt.

I so enjoyed my conversations on the phone with Harold. I've never met him in person, but I only see a smile when I think of all the joy he had in his voice. His love for the Lord came through in every call and he always encouraged me. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. May we find hope in the resurrection promises of Christ.

I have fond memories of Mr. Schmidt as he was my 6th grade teacher at Vinewood. I remember his witty sense of humor and wry smile when he told a joke in class. Several years after he was my teacher, I remember Harold coming to my leadership class at Tokay High encouraging us to donate blood for Delta Blood Bank. I seem to recall donations were very high, especially since this was the first time in memory they came to our high school. No doubt that was Harold's brilliant idea to get younger folks interested in helping others through donating blood. He was a great educator and a great man and I will always remember him fondly. I am so sorry for your loss.

Wayne and family. It was an honor to have your dad for school in the 7th and 8th grade at Saint Peters school. He was a great teacher and I believe he was a great man. I remember his smile and the look in his eyes to this day. I am glad he was my teacher. He made an impression on my life. I am so sorry he is gone. But Never forgotten though. A lot of good memeries of the days back then.

I was honored to know Mr. Schmidt/Harold as he was my teacher and Woodbridge school when I was in the 7th-8th grade. Later in life we became co-workers at Ehlers´s Health Supply. Always a smile to greet you or a joke to tell.

I got to know Harold while working at Lodi Memorial West at the fitness center. I always loved his humor and his presence and there was never a day when I saw him that I did not spend at least 10 minutes talking to him out there. Even as I would walk the neighborhood on my work breaks I would see him occasionally outside and stop and chat, or at a local events as he assisted with partners or at the church for the Christmas Nativity. Harold was just a wonderful God loving person, and it was a pleasure to know him and he made an impact on so many lives over the years including mine. God bless and my condolences to the family but well done good and faithful servant.

I spent many hours of my childhood at Harold and Lavern's house. Such warm memories playing and praying. Our parents were inseparable. Just yesterday the memories returned as I was mixing up the Teriyaki marinade recipe that the Schmidts brought back from Hawaii. Rest peacefully in His arms!

I met Harold when I taught at Woodbridge and my husband was Vice-Principal there. Later Frank was a Principal at Vinewood and Harold wanted to transfer there. We both enjoyed Harold so much. He had a wonderful smile, was very positive and fun to be around. He lived such a wonderful Christian life. I'm sure he is in heaven and has heard the words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant".

Harold will be missed, his presence is still with me in the St. Peter Choir. He enjoyed Barbershop singing, wine and good food - was lucky enough to be with him in those things one way or another.
