Janice Garza Obituary

Our Mother Janice Oriette Garza (Brant), passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 peacefully after a long battle with diabetes.
Janice was born October 30,1943 to William and Patsy Brant in Grand Rapids Michigan. Her family moved west to Canoga Park, California where Janice and her sister Nadene were raised. She and her sister raised domestic and farm animals in 4-H during their childhood where her admiration and love of animals began.
Janice married Mike Sommers and had two children Daniel and Heather Sommers and settled in Stockton California.
Janice was a stay-at-home mom until her children reached school age when she went back to school to attain her manicurist license.
Janice divorced and remained in Stockton CA and continued her love of manicuring her clients hands and nails.
Our mom passed her "love of animals" to both her children.
Janice lived out her remaining life in Lodi at The Vintage Retirement Home with her doggie "Charlie" and kittie "Missy" and the many friends she had.
We ask you to join Daniel (Nancy) and Heather (Rich) to honor our mother with "Thank You" and "Goodbye".  Thursday April 13, 2017, 10:00am, Evergreen Chapel, Cherokee Memorial Cemetery, Hwy 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi, CA. 95240.
Please join us after for a "Celebration of Life" Luncheon at Wine and Roses, Thursday April 13th, 2017, 11:00am-4:00pm, Wine and Roses, 2505 W. Turner Road, Lodi, CA. 95240.
