Laverne Isbill Obituary
LaVerne loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an active member of GracePoint Church and played piano for her Sunday School class up through her mid-eighties.
Throughout her life she ministered to many through singing, and a longtime pianist at Lodi Glad Tidings, First Assembly of God, Century Assembly, and Westside Assembly.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Dodson (Stacey) of Boise, Idaho, daughter-in-law, Tricia Isbill (Robert, deceased) brother, Leonard Rode (Lorrie) of Fair Oaks, 4 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Step-Great-Grandchildren and 1 Step-Great-Great Grandchild.
She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, William Isbill, and two sons, Robert Isbill, and Ronald Isbill.
A Celebration of Life Service is planned for Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at GracePoint Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi, CA 95242.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to "Helping Hands Ministries" at GracePoint Church.

Where do you begin when you have known this family for so many years.
We remember when Keith played with your Dad in the church orchestra on Walnut and Washington.
When we sang in the church choir under the direction of Ruth Washington and sat under the many wonderful Pastors at First Assembly of God church in Lodi. We had such wonderful fellowship with our church family as we saw our children grow into teenagers and adults. God has been faithful after all these years. Thanks for sharing your wonderful family with us. When the role is called up yonder we will all be there with praises and thanksgiving.

Oh my goodness how I loved this lady. I called her lovely Laverne. Thinking of her makes me smile. She was a wonderful piano player and so very kind. So many fond memories of her and Bill. She's with Jesus now.

Laverne was a special lady. I have so many fond memories of her. Her piano playing, commitment to the Lord and laughter were legendary. Laverne is healthy again and joins the Isbill band with Bill, Bob and Ron. Love and prayers for Bonnie, the family and many friends.
