Margaret Hughes Obituary
While in Michigan, Margaret taught school for two years prior to her marriage in 1939, after which she and her family moved to Stockton, later she moved to Lodi. Throughout her life, she was very active in her church community, serving as pianist and organist for over 75 years.
Margaret is survived by, Robert Hughes, her devoted husband of 69 years; 5 children, Carol Haven, Diane Ladd, Dale Hughes, Myra Round, and David Hughes; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 24th, 2:00 p.m. in the Garden of Trees at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 & Harney Lane, Lodi, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Community Fellowship Church, 1022 E. Augusta St, Woodbridge, with Pastor Ken Raphael officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be given in her memory to the Grace Community Fellowship Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 896, Woodbridge, Ca 95258.
Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sweet Margaret,
You were a wonderful mother-in-law to me and a prayer intercessor for our entire family. What a Godly heritage you left for all of us! I will always remember you smiling, in prayer, as you softly whispered the names of those you loved.

Dear Family...
We want to also share our heartfelt condolences, love & assurance of our prayers. We have many memories. One of which was the blessing she was as a secretary & helper with our third grade Sunday School class. The children could feel Jesus' love through her. She would often walk from home to Church arriving by 8:45 to welcome the boys & girls. What a glorious homecoming & reward is surely hers for eternity.
