MARILYN BROWN

Marilyn Brown passed peacefully on November 13th in Lodi, California, at the age of 87, surrounded by her daughters. Though she left this world with quiet grace, she did so wrapped in love and is now reunited with her husband, George, in heaven. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Ring (John) and Judie Engel; her brother, Jerry Coe (Jeannie); and her grandchildren Tyler Murdaca (Pete), Lauren Patterson (James), Haley Larson (Ryan), Julia Berolzheimer (Thomas), David Ring (Molly), George Engel, and Samantha Hayes (Blayne), along with her nine great-grandchildren, whom she adored. Marilyn had a loving, playful spirit and a kindness that touched everyone she met. She made people feel welcome, never missed a chance to make someone smile, and found happiness in time with family, laughter with friends, and caring for her garden filled with her beloved roses. Marilyn loved adventure and beauty. She traveled the world, spent time fly fishing beside George, took shopping trips and attended theater outings with friends, and never missed a chance to dress up, always finishing her look with her signature red lipstick. Her bright blue eyes sparkled with joy, and her smile could light up any room. She was a long-time member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Lodi and gave generously of her time to causes she cared about. To know Marilyn was to be loved by her. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and generosity that will live on in all who were lucky enough to know her.
