We were very fortunate to have the opportunity and the utmost honor and pleasure of knowing Marlene and Dr. Heinz from De Anza College Chinese Student Union in the mid 1980s. Their curiosity for seeking new knowledge, delight to open their hearts, kindness to support others, and generosity to embrace all truly embody the beautiful great American spirit.... Thank you

Marlene ALWAYS made me feel welcomed
and part of your class of 1954. She was the one
who talked to me as I was attending a Rose Show
at Hutchins Street Square after returning from teaching
overseas, and I happened to walk through the
gym where many were setting up for your
high school reunion THAT night. She insisted that
I return and mingle, which I did. I saw many of
my grammar school friends who were my brother's
friends/classmates. That was in perhaps 2004. ALL
very happy memories.

You were a great actress in High School productions. I have good memories of our High School days. You will be missed at our reunions. I imagine you are creating some beautiful Jewelry in heaven.
My condolences to your family.
