Norman Hubner

1936 - 2023

Norman Hubner went to be in his heavenly home on December 13, 2023. He was born on September 29, 1936 in Vernon, B.C Canada to Leonard and Helen Hubner. He married Launa Flemmer on July 29th, 1961. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He worked in logging and ran a sawmill with his father and his brothers. He was blessed with a son, Chris Hubner in 1963.
He moved to Montana in 1964 to be near his wife's family. He worked for Wright Lumber and Hoerner Waldorf Pulp and Paper Mill until he moved to Lodi in 1974 to be closer to family. He worked at Goehring Meat Company for 10 years and later at General Mills from November 1, 1984 until he retired on June 1, 1998. Norm and Launa enjoyed southern gospel music and traveled to many concerts and enjoyed going on cruises with family. They loved their trip to Ireland with family. Norm loved to fish with his son, especially in Alaska. His granddaughter, Hannah Hubner Daley brought so much joy to his life.
Norm was preceded in death by his father, Leonard, his mother, Helen, his brother, Edward, and his sister, Betty Robbins.
Norm is survived by his wife, Launa, his son, Chris (Julie), his granddaughter, Hannah Daley (Ryan), brother, Don, and sisters; Ruth Schwartz and Marlene Kern. He's also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Salvation Army.
A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, December 19th at 1:00PM at The Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. Viewing is prior to the service starting at noon. A celebration of Norm's life will be held at a later date with a gospel music concert.
