Phyllis Frates

1942 - 2012

Phyllis passed into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday November 16, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born in Tracy on January 18, 1942. Phyllis attended Tracy schools and graduated in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart Don Fritz who passed in 1991. They had two children Sheryl (Greg) Fales and John (Ida) Fritz. Phyllis worked for Diamond Walnut for 20 years as a supervisor. In 1993 she married William Frates they have been married for 19 years. She was a founding and faithful member of Bear Creek Community Church in Lodi, she enjoyed praising the Lord, and she especially loved her family, her grandchildren and traveling with her close friends in the church. She was a devoted follower of Jesus and will be missed greatly but we know she is home.
Phyllis leaves behind her loving husband of 19 years, William Frates of Lodi, CA; Daughter Sheryl Fales of Los Gatos, CA and her son John Fritz of Stockton, CA, her grandchildren William Fales of Los Gatos, CA and Clayton Fales of Merced CA, her siblings Ida Belle Gallegos of Lodi, CA, Robert Corbett and wife Edir of Stockton, CA and Sandy Whitaker and husband Don of Stockton, CA and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, is honored to serve the Frates family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bear Creek Community Church 11171 N. Lower Sacramento Rd., Lodi, CA 95242.
