I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ray. I attended medical school with him at the University of Nevada, Reno upon his transfer from Guadalajara. I found him to be very personable and friendly. He fit right into our class.
We kept in touch after graduation and I saw him a few times over the years as we discussed careers etc.
On behalf of the Class of 1982, UNR School of Medicine, as Class President, I want to send the family and friends our deepest sympathy.
Ray, my friend and colleague, RIP.

Such a wonderful write up in the paper! The
characters mentioned were all a part of his
personality. I had the honor of feeding the
rottweilers and he was crazy about those dogs.
I have a picture of my daughter with them in
my office.
Ray was kind enough to stay in the operating room
as Ron Alt did surgery on my beloved husband. It
gave me great comfort knowing he was there.
May he rest in peace with his loving Mother who
passed away as he graduated from med school.

So very sorry to hear about Ray's passing! We went all through high school together and then to college together also at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, where I was also a "Little sister of SAE", his fraternity. He will be greatly missed by many.

Sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I have fond High School memories. I will always remember him as kind and always very calm. I remember running into Ray at a bagel shop one morning and was surprised to learn that he knew my oldest son. They had met of all places in an operating room. They shared the same profession. May you rest in peace ny friend.

I am very sorry to hear about Ray. I went to medical school with him in Guadalajara. I met him on the plane down there along with Dr Robert Schingler. (Another pharmacist going to medical school). Since I didn't know anyone down there, we all planned to rent a house and live together near the school. I ended up living with a Mexican family instead but since we registered at the same time, we had our classes together as they formed classes according to your registration number. I have been an OB/Gyn in Lodi since 1984.
