Ronald "Ron" Williams Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Milton Williams, a beloved son, father, grandfather, educator, and dedicated Air Force veteran. He was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, on September 10, 1937, to Leroy Chester Williams and Florence Agnes (Fritz) Williams. He lived a life marked by service, dedication, and passion.
After graduating from West Chester University in1958 with a degree in music and History, Ron proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country with honor. During this time, he moved to California where he met and fell in love with his soulmate, Ilse Karen Lembcke. They married in 1962 and were married for 62 years until his passing in 2025. His time in the Air Force instilled in him a sense of discipline and commitment that he carried with him throughout his life.
Upon completing his military service in 1964, Ron made his home in Lodi, California, where he raised a family and began a distinguished career in education. For over 30 years, he taught in Stockton schools, touching the lives of countless students with his dedication to learning and his belief in the power of education. His influence as a teacher extended far beyond the classroom, shaping the future of those who were fortunate enough to be his students.
In addition to his teaching career, Ron was a passionate lover of sports. He had a deep affection for fast-pitch softball, a sport that he played and cherished throughout his life. He also gave back to the community as a coach for Lodi Legion Baseball, where he mentored young athletes and instilled in them the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
Ron passed away on February 24, 2025, after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of family, love, service, and dedication. He was a steadfast presence in the lives of those who knew him, and his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
He is survived by his sister Jackie Moyer, his wife Karen, his children Jeff, Jody and Wendy and his grandchildren Hannah, Zane, Audrey, Benjamin and Daniel. Rest in peace, Ron. Your service, love, and spirit will never be forgotten.
