HANNAH JOYCE BOYD WALK, 89, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away peacefully at Genesis HealthCare, White Sulphur Springs, WV, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. She was born February 5, 1935, to the late Mary Jane (Mollie See) and Walter Boyd of Logan, WV.
Joyce/Nanny/Nana/Mom loved God and was a member of various churches throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Lee Walk, her son-in law Patrick Kinser, five sisters, and three brothers.
She is survived by a family that loved her dearly including daughters, Rebecca Kinser of Lewisburg, and Connie Marshall (JR) of Winfield; grandchildren K. Brian Adkins (Dr. Courtney Adkins) of Charleston, Staci Banton (Sam) of Lewisburg, Jane Long of Philadelphia, PA, Kathryn Ryan (Andy) of Charleston, Lynn Kinser of White Sulphur Springs; Gwen Harless (Jonathan) of Princeton; great-grandchildren, Charles Patrick, William, Kate and Phoebe Adkins of Charleston, Robert and Carson Banton of Lewisburg, Ian Harless of Princeton and Vivian Ryan of Charleston.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff of Genesis HealthCare, White Sulphur Springs for the loving care given to our beloved mother/grandmother/great-grandmother.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV with Pastor Roger McDaniel officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
