Charles Franklin Carter, age 75, formerly of Athens, died Friday April 9, 2021 at the Aultman Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance. Born Oct. 18, 1945 in Union Furnace, he was the son of the late Denver C. Carter and Leona Mae Anderson Carter.

He is survived by two brothers, John Carter of Logan and Jack Carter of Logan; also surviving are several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Doris Miller, and a brother, Robert Carter. Graveside service was conducted Wednesday at New Marshfield Cemetery with Bruce Stoker, Minister, officiating. Arrangements are with Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens. Charles was deeply loved at Alliance Group Homes. The staff members and I will miss him very much. There were many days that his laughing, guitar playing and singing would brighten life around here. I will miss him singing "You are my sunshine" the most. I am so sorry for your loss.
