Jr. was in our store often and spoke of his time working at Carbo with my dad, Leroy Lindsey. He had an infectious smile and laugh and could pull stories out of his memory at the drop of a hat. I will miss seeing him and hearing his stories, but I expect he and Dad are catching up on good times now. I pray God will extend His loving arms around the family and comfort them, providing some peace in this time of loss.

My condolences to Clarence's family. I had the privilege to be assigned as Clarence's Guardian for his Honor Flight on 1 October 2016. It was a great honor to accompany him during the trip. While in Washington, D.C., I shared escort duties for Clarence with Army SSgt Van Buren. Each Honor Flight is unique and I remember Clarence's smile and warm sense of humor during the day I spent with him. It helped light up a rainy day. Each veteran I have escorted is very special to me and as a veteran, I appreciate what our greatest generation sacrificed for us so that we continue to be a free country. May Clarence rest in peace and may his family take comfort in knowing he was a kind, gentle man who served his country when needed and returned to raise, nurture and love his family. He performed both duties well and to the best of his ability. God bless you all!

Such a wonderful, kind man. The gentleness of his soul shined through his eyes. I will miss his visits to Smith Chapel FCM. No matter what was going on, when Junior came to visit it got put on hold while I sat and visited with my friend. He came to say hi during our April pantry distribution on the 9th. We talked about family and friends, we talked about hope for the future, and when we shared moments of our faith his love for Jesus Christ filled his eyes with tears. Junior always talked about how the number 8 showed up in his life, the 18th was his last number 8 on earth, now time is endless for him and I will always remember his heaven birthday. I will miss you dear friend!

Mr. Fuller was like the father I lost at the age of 17. I loved him with my whole heart and told him so every time we talked. I would have done anything for him and he for me. He was the nicest man I ever met at McDonald's. I gave him a ride home when his car wouldn't start and that was the beginning of a wonderful friendship that led to years of unconditional love for him. We went to dinner and he was upset that we wouldn't let him pay. We promised him he could pay the next time. I came to visit when Edith passed and he was glad for the company. We talked on the phone from time to time. He said he always knew it was me, because I called him Mr. Fuller instead of Junior like everyone else. He will now be a true angel in Heaven. Melody, your dad was a wonderful man and I will miss him so much. I will keep you in my prayers.

From one Navy Veteran to another, I loved sitting with him at McDonalds and sharing stories of military service and our families. I last saw him when we picked him up and took him out to dinner at Old Dutch. Such a wonderful and outstanding gentleman. I will miss him dearly. I salute you my friend. God speed.
