Ralph West Obituary
Born May 20, 1936 in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ralph Stanley and Freda Frances (Guess) West.
During life, Slick worked as a press operator at Logan Clay Products before retiring after 36 years of service. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Slick was also a proud member of Logan Moose Lodge #873, Amvets Post #1776, and Logan American Legion Post #0078. A lover of games of chance, Slick enjoyed playing cards, slot machines, and shooting pool.
Slick is survived by one son, Steven Michael (Chris) West of Logan, Ohio; three daughters, Teresa (David) Barrell of Logan, Ohio, Beverly (Randy) Nihiser of Logan, Ohio, and Susan (Tracy) Bush of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida; 11 grandchildren; brother, Charles William "Bill" West; and sister, Patty Gibson.
Besides his parents, Slick was preceded in death by his wife, Shelia Mae (Trader) West; two grandchildren, Krista Barrell and Spencer Bush; brother, Thomas Eugene West; and sister, Delores Brening.
A funeral service officiated by Reverend Iris Conrad will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.
Visitation will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025 where a Moose service will take place.
