Sandra Klausing Obituary

Sandra Sue "Sandy" (Weaver) Klausing, aged 81, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025 at Primrose of Lancaster following a lengthy illness.

Born Aug. 14, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Dalton and Edith (Leach) Weaver.

The salutatorian for the Berne Union Class of 1962, Sandy was a legal secretary for several years in Lancaster before retiring as an administrative assistant to the principal of Logan High School. She was proud that, in a timed test for this job, she typed 96 words per minute with only three errors. Sandy was active in the school and church at St. John Catholic Church in Logan and later at St. Mark Catholic Church in Lancaster, along with numerous other activities in her younger years.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Ronald E. Klausing; daughter, Kelly (Robert) Stolz of Xenia, Ohio; son, Michael (Tisha) Kuhn of Lacey, Washington; daughters-in-law, Beth Edwards of Finlayville, Pennsylvania and Teresa (Chad) Rogers of Granville, Ohio. The lights of Sandy's life were her grandchildren: David Stolz, Thomas and Anna Kuhn, Olivia Edwards, and Emma and Callie Rogers, as well as bonus-grandchildren, Brier, Makenna, and Madison Hansen. Sandy is also survived by her brothers, W. Duane (Mary Louise) Weaver of Canton, Georgia and Steven (Judy) Weaver of Spartanburg, South Carolina, as well as several Kuhn and Klausing in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, neighbors past and present, and her best friend from first grade, Bonnie Kistler.

Besides her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kerry Ann (1973); her first husband, Robert Kuhn (2000); sisters, Carolyn Jean Nusser and Shirley Lupton; brother, Paul E. Weaver; and son-in-law, Todd Edwards.

A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father Jean-Luc Zadroga will be held at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025 at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio, with a Christian Vigil Service taking place at 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Fairhope Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, OH 43130, or the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington D.C. 20090-6011.

The family would like to thank the staff and specialists at Interim Healthcare, Primrose of Lancaster, and Fairhope Hospice for their skillful care of Sandy.
