Daniel Price

Daniel Glen Price Daniel Glen Price was born on May 8, 1949, to Glen and Rosella (Rasmussen) Price in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He graduated from Woodbine High School in 1967 and then attended Iowa Western. Daniel was united in marriage to Carolyn Burkhead on May 8, 1971. To this union two sons were born Craig and Scott. He worked as a revenue agent for the state of Iowa and as an auditor for state sales and use tax. Dan married Linda (Knight) Olsufka on March 31, 1978. Dan's family expanded by two more children, Jennifer and Michael. Dan and Linda bought the KOA campground in Honey Creek, Iowa. He also worked as a real estate broker, flipped houses, and worked as a driver for Woodhouse Auto in Blair. Dan and Linda enjoyed their time together until her death in 2002. Dan liked spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, and camping. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Dan died on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Azria Health Longview in Missouri Valley, Iowa at the age of 73 years, 7 months, and 24 days. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Glen; wife, Linda; brother, Donald Price and brother-in-law, Les Olson. He is survived by his children, Craig (Wendy)Price of Omaha; Scott (Dana) Price of Bellevue, Nebraska, Jennifer (Kevin) Rose of Gretna and Michael (Alli) Olsufka of Omaha; 10 grandchildren; mother, Rosella Price of Woodbine; four sisters, Nancy McDaniel of Wellington, Colorado, Jackie Olson of Woodbine, Kayleen (Ray) Ames of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, and Carolyn (Harold) Ducuir of Essex, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life was held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 7th at the Elks Lodge #531, 380 McKenzie Ave. Council Bluffs, Iowa.
