Albert Codino Obituary

Col. Albert F. Codino (Retired), died peacefully on his birthday September 1, 2007 at the FDR Veterans Memorial Home in Montrose, NY. Born in Larchmont, NY September 1, 1928 to Carmela and Alexander Codino. Survived by a brother, Rudy Codino from Connecticut and a sister, Florence Musacchio from Larchmont, NY. Also survived by a son, Albert F. Codino, Jr., wife, Helg Codino of Mt. Kisco, NY and two granddaughters, Katherine and Valerie. Also survived by a daughter, Lisa A. Valastro, formerly Lisa A. Codino of Larchmont, NY and two grandsons, John and Jason. Pre-deceased by his wife, Marie L. Codino, formerly Marie L. Lavinder of Martinsville, VA. He was a commissioned officer for more than 25 years, Director of Personal Management and Labor Training for the U.S. He served in the Korean War from 1952-1954 and was active in the Reserve Corp. Taught courses at Air war college in Virginia and at Westpoint, wrote and published a textbook "managing the modern municipality". A very well educated Father who went to many colleges including, William and Mary University, Columbia University, New York University and University of Paris (Sorbonne). He later became a financial advisor for Thompson McKinnon and AG Edwards. He will be waked at John J. Fox Funeral Home,Boston Post Road, Larchmont, NY, 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday and Tuesday. Funeral to be held at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 15 South Bedford Rd in Mt. Kisco,NYon Wednesday, September 5, at 10 am. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, donatons can be made to Rev. Hanemann, Pastoral Caretaker, c/o NYS Veterans Home, 2090 Albany Post Rd, Montrose, NY 10548 JOHN J.
