ALBERT FEMINELLI Obituary

Albert (Al) Feminelli of Portchester died on October 27, 1999 at NY United Hospital after a brief illness. He was 76. Mr. Feminelli was a golf professional for Dellwood Country Club in New City for 40 years, before retiring in 1990. He was born December 31, 1922 in Torrebruna, Abruzzi, Italy to Nicholas and Jennie Marianacci Feminelli. He graduated from Port Chester High School in 1941. He served in the US Air Force in World War II. On November 16, 1947, he married Marie Lomiento at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester. He was a member of Corpus Christi Church, Assistant Golf Pro at Old Oaks Country Club in Harrison, before he became Pro at Dellwood. He will be remembered for his love of family, friends, and his golf game. He was a down to earth guy who just loved spending time with his pals. He is survived by his wife Marie of Port Chester, son Thomas A. Feminelli of Port Chester, sister Mary Lavecchia of Fort Pierce, FL, grandson Thomas, granddaughter Amanda and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother. Calling hours are Saturday and Sunday 5 to 9PM at James J. Gunipero Funeral Home, Inc. The funeral is Monday at 10:30AM, Corpus Christi Church.
