Sandy, Stephanie, Vinnie and Family,

Tony's presence in our world was a gift to all who were fortunate to know him. In addition to hs cherished and beloved family, there is a wide and deep network of friends that was created over a lifetime of caring and living life well. For the family, your loss is the greatest. May time and warm memories comfort you.

Because of the way Tony lived and the goodwill he extended to others, his kindness and spirit will live on in the memories of all who knew him. It will also live on directly through the beautiful family he and Sandy created. Our world and our lives are better because we shared it with Tony.

Adios, Tony Bog. It was wonderful to have known you. Starting in 1969 at St Bonnies, when I met you and the other JFK all-stars, the good times rolled for 4 years. I loved those days. You were a fun hound who loved a good party and a good laugh, but you were also the leader, the organizer and the guy you could talk to about solving problems. More than any other of us knuckleheads, you were the adult in the room a lot of times. In spite of all that fun, we grew upcareers, weddings, families, kids, retirement, grandkids.... who knew? It was always nice touching base with you over the years and especially nice sharing grandparent-hood before you left. What a cool thing. I know Sandy and your kids will keep your love for Milana and Claire alive and strong. Ill miss you and Ill raise a glass to the old days.

I was a friend from college. A bunch of guys, a bunch of girls, hanging out together all the time and having the time of our lives. I helped to make the famous leprechaun outfit. I can still picture him in it! One thing Tony and I shared was an Italian heritage. My name didn't reflect it, but I was raised Italian-American, as he was. One time we were trading stories about our upbringing, and he said his family was from Naples. Echoing what I had heard my grandmother say, I responded without thinking "Oh, northern Italian." He looked at me like I was bonkers and said "Naples is not in northern Italy!" And I responded "it is to the Sicilians." We laughed.
I have remembered that conversation since we had it over 40 years ago. God bless him, he was truly one of the best guys I knew. My sympathies to Sandie and the rest of the family, and to all of our friends who have lost a leader and a dear, dear friend.
