Anthony DiGiacinto Obituary

DiGiacinto, Anthony E.

Anthony was born in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Middle Village, Queens, NY by his parents, Anthony M. DiGiacinto and Margaret (Lee) DiGiacinto, and his paternal grandmother Livia (Stella) DiGiacinto who were devoted to him and he them. He attended Christ the King High School after which he worked for a time at the beverage distributor business owned by his father. He also had a working career in air conditioning and heating repair. Anthony, nicknamed Butch, loved old movies and classic TV sitcoms. He was an avid NY sports fan who also loved sharing his insights on politics and the stock market. Most of all he was a compassionate soul to those in need.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Lisa DiGiacinto of Bayville, NY, brother Thomas (Marygrace) DiGiacinto of Hollis, NH, and three sisters Dolores (Richard) Renz of Danville, PA, Judith (Robert) Anderson of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, and Jeanne (Mark) Svirchev of Bluffton, SC and his many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday morning October 23, 2015 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand Street Croton-on- Hudson, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 10:30 am.

Private burial in Danville, PA.

Donations in his name can be made to Holy Name of Mary Midnight Run, 114 Grand Street Croton-on- Hudson, NY. They assist with the care and feeding of the NYC homeless.
