ANTHONY MAFFUCCI Obituary

Anthony M. Maffucci, of Valhalla, NY, formerly an eight year resident of Katonah, NY, died on August 23, 2004 at Westchester County Medical Center. He was 76. He was born on January 29, 1928 in Tarrytown, NY to Francis and Frances Cianci Maffucci. He was employed as a Lab Director for The Ossining and Hudson Medical Labs of the Tarrytowns for 32 years, retiring in 1992. He was educated in Tarrytown Schools and graduated from Tarrytown High School. He was a veteran and served in the Navy as a Corpman. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 318 in North Tarrytown, where he had been a Past Grand Knight. He is survived by his wife, Vera of Valhalla and his four children: Carol McCormick and her husband, Max of Jacksonville Beach, FL; Michael Maffucci of Briarcliff Manor, NY; Peter Maffucci and his wife, Patricia of Wingdale, NY and Matthew Maffucci of Castle Rock, CO. Also survived by eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Christene, who passed away in 1993. Calling hours will be at CLARK ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME, KATONAH, NY on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday in St. Mary's Church, Katonah, at 10 am. Interment will be in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Hudson Valley, 35 Orchard Street, White Plains, NY 10603.
