BENIAMINO PERILLO

Beniamino Perillo of Chestnut Ridge, NY, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2003 at his home with his family at his side. He was 79 years old. Mr. Perillo was born on September 13, 1923 to Francesco and Rosaria Perillo in Montecalvo Irpino, Italy, where he was raised and served in the Italian Army. He married Maria Moliterno on July 10, 1954 in Italy. The couple then moved to New York on January 8, 1958 and settled in the Bronx. They then moved to Chestnut Ridge in 1983. Mr. Perillo was a tailor for over 30 years. He worked for DeStasio Coat Factory for 17 years, then he was the owner and operator of P&L Dry Cleaners in Manhattan for over 13 years. He was a member of the Amalgamated Garment Workers Union and a communicant of The Church of the Presentation in Saddle River, NJ. Beniamino is survived by his devoted wife, Maria, of Chestnut Ridge; his loving children: Claudia Perillo of Chestnut Ridge and John Perillo of Houston, TX; two brothers: Alberigo of Venezuela and Francesco of Italy; three sisters: Angelina D'Agostino of England, Silvia D'Agostino and Maria Corvino, both of Italy; his three cherished grandchildren: Jeff and Stephanie Perillo and Jimmy Guardino. Mr. Perillo's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at 10 AM at the Church of the Presentation. Entombment will follow in Ascension Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the WANAMAKER & CARLOUGH F.H., 177 Rte. 59, Suffern, NY on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
