CATHERINE F. PISANI

Catherine F. Pisani, a long time Peekskill resident, died on Friday, April 24, 2009. She was 87 years old. Mrs. Pisani was born in New York City, the daughter of James R. Ford and Beatrice Mitch ell. Catherine graduated as salutatorian from the Hen drick Hudson High School, class of 1938. She was em ployed in the Hendrick Hud son School District as a sec retary for Mr. Leroy Lucy and later for supervising principal/superintendent Frank G. Lindsey from 19381948. From 1970 until her retirement in 1982 she was employed as a guidance sec retary at Peekskill High School. She married Edwin B. Pisani on September 28, 1947 at St. Christopher's Church, Buchanan, NY. He predeceased her in 2004. Mrs. Pisani was a commu nicant at the Assumption Church, Peekskill. Catherine was the "heart of the family and will always be remem bered for her loving hospi tality". She is survived by two sons Edwin (Margaret) Pisani of Croton and Thomas Pisani of Peekskill, a daugh ter Catherine Pisani of Peekskill, two granddaught ers Genevieve Pisani of Cro ton and Emilia Pisani of NYC. Three sisters, Eileen Alexander of Verplanck, Be atrice Morris of Montrose and Helen Piche of Florida, also survive. A brother, James P. Ford, predeceased her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 28th at 10 AM at the Assumption Church. Interment to follow at the Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. Visiting at the Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home, 1100 Cortlandt St., Peekskill on Sunday (today) from 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Hudson Valley Hospital Center Foundation and/or the Assumption Church.
