AGE: 91 • Peekskill
Claire M. Finnigan of Peekskill, NY passed away on January 3, 2015. She was 91 years old. Miss Finnigan was an Educator and Librarian for forty-five years in the Peekskill City School District. She was born on September 3, 1923 in Putnam Valley to William E. and Rose Anne Crowell Finnigan. Claire attended Geneseo College where she received her Master's Degree in Education. She was a member of the following organizations; AMUNIV, AAUW, Delta Kappa Gamma, NYSUT and IRA. Claire is survived by two nieces; Anne E. & Stephanie W. and two nephews; Stephen and William, III. Predeceased by her brother William and his wife Anne Finnigan. Visitation is Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 9am until 9:45am at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Assumption Church at 10am. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
