CLAIRE J. LUCKHARDT

Claire J. (White) Luckhardt, longtime resident of Rye passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Friday, July 3, 2009 at the age of 73. She was born in Peekskill, NY on March 9, 1936 to Harry and Selma White. She spent her life comforting, teaching and bringing joy to others through her passion, food. Among her numerous ventures devoted to food service, Claire managed the New Rochelle Hospital Coffee Shop, was the proud owner of her luncheonette, The Munch Box in Rye, NY and joyfully fed the hungry, both spiritually and physically at the Soup Kitchen in Stamford, CT. She is survived and will be missed dearly by three sons, Dan Oglevee of Columbus, OH, David (Ann) Oglevee of Santa Monica, CA, John Oglevee of Tokyo, Japan and one granddaughter, Grace Ann of Santa Monica, CA.
