CYRIL NEUBERT

Cyril V. "Cy" Neubert, age 95, formerly of Tarrytown, NY, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Kalamazoo MI. He was born April 1, 1915 in Renova PA to Edward and Barbara (Eberl) Neubert, both deceased. A graduate of St. Bonaventure University, Cy's career as a CPA/accountant spanned over 40 years, retiring from Mobil Oil Corp. in 1980, and operating a private tax accounting practice for more than 60 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and traveling to keep his family connected. Cy, a long-time resident of Tarrytown (1956-2005), was preceded in death in 1971 by Kathryn Walsh Neubert, his wife of 29 years. Survivors include Marjorie Kraft Neubert, whom he married in 1975; his four children: Barbara (Jeff) Pascua of Portland OR; Gerald (Patricia) Neubert of Fairbanks AK; Thomas (Beverly) of San Antonio TX; Dede (Frank) Lucatelli of Kalamazoo MI; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Martha Rees of Winchester VA. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Kalamazoo, MI on December 27, 2010. Visitation in Tarrytown will be on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Dwyer & Vanderbilt Funeral Home, followed by Interment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cyril V. Neubert Endowed Scholarship at St. Bonaventure University.
