Daniel J. "Buddy" Millicker, Jr.

AGE: 85 • Mahopac Falls

Daniel J. Millicker, Jr. "Buddy", a lifelong resident of Mahopac Falls, NY passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 12 following a 57 year battle with diabetes. Born in Peekskill, NY on June 25, 1928, he was the son of Daniel and Anastasia (Phelan) Millicker, Sr.

Bud was a Mahopac High School graduate, earned his B.S. from Marist College, and continued on to Union College where he received his Masters. He worked as an electronic engineer for IBM in Fishkill, NY for over 30 years. He married Madeline Patricia Elsasser on August 30, 1952 at St. John The Evangelist Church and will now join her in heaven.

He is survived by his sons Daniel Millicker, James Millicker (Tina), his daughters Margaret Asmodeo, Kathryn Teirstein (Mark), Janet Hughes, Macaire Gigler(Chris), thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers George and John, and his sister Dr. Marjorie Schratz.

Visiting will be held at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 10AM at St. John The Evangelist Church, Mahopac with interment to follow at Ballard-Barrett Cemetery, Mahopac Falls.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations in his name to the American Diabetes Association or Hospice of Hudson Valley.
