Lemmens, Donna M.

Donna M. Lemmens, a lifelong resident of Mahopac, NY passed away on Friday September 30, 2011. She was 64. Donna was born on July 20, 1947 in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of Donald and Ruth Courtney. Donna was a volunteer at the Putnam Co. Humane Society and at the Mahopac Library for many years. On October 19, 1968 she married John L. Lemmens at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac. In addition to her husband of Mahopac, she is survived by her son, John C. Lemmens and wife Lisa of Mahopac and her daughter Honora Herlihy and husband Gerald of Montauk, NY. She is also survived by her sister Carol Vicario and husband Pat, her brother Donald Courtney and wife Elaine and brother-in-law Kevin Smith, all of Mahopac, as well as her grandchildren Jack and Cole Lemmens and Aydin and Paige Herlihy. Her sister, Janet Smith predeceased her. Visiting Monday from 4-7 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, Mahopac. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Putnam County Humane Society, PO Box 297, Carmel, NY 10512 or the Make a Wish Foundation, 828 S.
