OBITUARY OF ELIZABETH MARY BUSH-SCHMIDT
New Rochelle, N.Y.
Elizabeth Mary Bush-Schmidt passed on to life eternal January 9, 2021 at the age of 62.
Born in Suffern, N.Y. at Good Samaritan Hospital on October 27, 1958 to Gretel and Harrison Bush of Sloatsburg, NY. Elizabeth came into this world quickly and pursued an active life early on winning the 6th Grade American Legion award as a good citizen.
She loved skiing and ice skating as well as horsemanship with her horse Confucius. Graduating from Suffern High School she went on to RCC and some time at Pratt Institute where she furthered her interests in art and photography as well as theatre.
An accomplished photographer and artist she entered many shows locally and in NYC.
She leaves her father Harrison Bush, brother Peter M. Bush & Dennis Trotter. She was predeceased by her mother Gretel and beloved Uncle Bill.
Liz leaves many cousins and friends.
She always tried to help others and animals in the midst of her own emotional and physical challenges over several decades. May she rest in peace. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family requests that donations be made in her name to your local animal shelter or to The National Alliance on Mental Illness in New York City (NAMI-NYC)
