ELMER RADCLIFFE Obituary

Elmer Radcliffe "Chats", of Mamaroneck, on December 31, 2003 in Yorktown Heigts where he lived with his son for the past 6 years. "Chats" was 92. He was born in New Jersey to John and Edith (Brown) Radcliffe. He was a Veteran of WWII, and later worked for Prudential Insurance. Very active in the Community, Chats was a member of Hook & Ladder Co., the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Old Timers Club and the VFW. Chats was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, fishing, football, baseball and track. He is listed on the Mamaroneck HS Hall of Fame team and played semi-pro hockey for the NY Athletic Club. He also enjoyed playing golf with his wife Jaye. He was devoted to his grandchildren and hardly missed any events. His wife Jaye (Lanza) died in 1994. Chats is survived by his sons Glenn (wife Barbara) and Clifford (wife Lauren), grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jason, Jodi, David and Keith Radcliffe, stepgrandfather of Dana and Brian Schnitzer and great-grandfather of John Edward "Jack" Radcliffe. Dear brother of Clifford Radcliffe, Lucille Tompkins Hunt and Evelyn Wrede. Predeceased by siblings, John, Richard, Harold, Albert and Ernest Radcliffe, Edith Ehrbar and Mary Brower. Visitation Sunday evening from 7 to 9, Monday 2 to 4 and 7-9 at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767 East Boston Post Rd. Mamaroneck. (914) 698-5968. Funeral Mass Tuesday 10 am at St. Gregory the Great R.C followed by interment at Greenwood Union.
