Eugenia Hansen Obituary
Eugenia Hansen, of Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2014. She moved to Yonkers over 60 years ago from Massachusetts. She met the love of her life, Kaare, working at General Motors in Tarrytown. They were happily married for 54 years until his passing on July 27, 2008. She is survived by five loving sons Kaare (Patricia), Michael (Ann), Thomas (Catherine), Brian (Debra), and Mark (Tami), nine adoring grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her sister Aurora, and brothers Michael and James. She was a long time cafeteria worker at PS 13 in Yonkers.
She was an active member of the Sons of Norway for over 50 years and a member of the Yonkers Portuguese Club. She loved her family, traveling, swimming at the YMCA, reading romance novels and dancing.
Visitation will be held at Flynn Memorial Home Inc. (1652 Central Park Ave. Yonkers, NY) Tuesday, July 29th 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery on Wednesday, July 30th, 2014.
Her family is grateful for all the care and support given at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Calvary Hospital. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Calvary Hospital, www.calvaryhospital.org, who made her last days comfortable.
