Frank Mattoni Obituary

Mattoni, Frank Robert

Frank Robert Mattoni passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in the Philippines. He was born in Mt. Kisco to Patricia Murphy Adams and the late Frank James Mattoni.

Born in 1966, Frank was raised in Mt. Kisco and graduated from Fox Lane High School. During those years, Frank developed his mechanical ability by working on bikes, cars, and anything that could be taken apart. Shortly thereafter, Frank moved to New York City, combining his sales and artistic endeavors. Frank enjoyed ice hockey, motorcycling, the arts and photography. His laughter, smile, and personality were evident to all who knew him as he lived life to the fullest. In his final months, Frank was travelling in an effort to legally establish his rights as father to his beloved Kayla.

Frank is survived by his mother Patricia Murphy Adams, his step-father Gerald Adams, brother Christopher Mattoni (Angelika), half-sister Leah Reeves (Brent), half-brother James Mattoni, step-brother Howard Adams, and step-sister Melissa Adams (Jason). He is also survived by his adored nieces and nephews (Alex, Isabella, Violet, Alexander, Pierce, Riley, and Delaney), along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends. Frank was predeceased by his father, his grandparents, Cousin Darcy Van Akin and Uncle Robert Murphy.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday 4-8PM at the Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home 288 East Main St, Mt. Kisco, NY 10549 (914) 666-4840 www.cassidyflynnfuneralhome.com. Burial will be private. A life so precious and taken away so prematurely. I can't seem to reconcile the thought of you just being there and now gone. Our hearts go out especially to you Patty and Christopher, for this unimaginable grief and anguish that you are going through. There is no greater pain in this world than the pain of losing your very own son and brother. Above all, my heart bleeds for kayla. She is just a little girl who is trying so hard to make sense of all these.
Frank: Your daughter loves you. I strongly believe it's innate. You knew that when she first called you "Dad" during your very first conversation, when she asked you to teach her how to ride a bike, and when she ended that conversation with "I love you dad" I'm still in awe every time I think of that day. Just like she's known you all along and fell right into your arms the first time she heard your voice.
I wished you knew i have prayed for that day to come from the very first time i found out about her.
Thank you for loving her deeply with all your heart and for letting her feel that she meant the world to you because that was all that mattered to me. I am forever grateful for this gift of life, the gift of love and I'm grateful that you are her dad. It is very difficult to look into Kayla's eyes And not see yours.
I promise you, I will fill your daughter's heart with your love, the love that you have carried in your heart. I will fill her soul with your memories that she will carry through life knowing that her father loved and adored her immensely. That he did everything he could out of love. And I promise that she will be back right here where she belongs, close to you.
Forever in our hearts.
Sheila, Kayla and family.

So very sorry for your loss. I am always comforted by the following saying...

"We are all molded and remolded by those who have loved us and, though that love may pass, we remain, none the less, their work. No love, no friendship can ever cross the path of our destiny without leaving some mark upon it forever." – Francois Mauriac

From what I have read about Frank...he left a huge mark on the people that knew him...
