FRANK WATSON Obituary

Frank J. Watson , 90, a lifelong Yonkers resident passed away on November 2, 2008. He was born on Aug. 20, 1918 to Margaret and Frank Boyle Watson in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Gorton High School in 1935. Frank married his loving wife Alda on December 22, 1942 in the Most Holy Rosary Church in Yonkers; she predeceased him on December 24, 2004. Frank proudly served his country in the US Army, serving in France; he retired at rank of Capt. Frank served as the Executive Director for the United Way of Greenwich Ct for 18 years. Prior to that Frank owned the F.T. Watson Insurance Company in Yonkers 1950 - 1960. He was a member of the American Legion post in Yonkers, the Exchange Club of Yonkers, and the Elks Club in Yonkers and the Rotary Club in Greenwich, CT. He was also a parishioner at Christ the King Church. Frank is survived by his loving children Frank J. Watson Jr.(Jennifer Schancupp) of Stamford, CT, Joan Huen of Yonkers, Laurie Frees of Dobbs Ferry, his cherished grandchildren Andrew (Glenda), Tara (Tito Ghose) and Maya and his adored great-grandson Robert and a beloved brother William Watson of Putnam Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Frank on Wednesday at 10 AM at Christ the King Church with Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
