Geraldine Fay Obituary
Geraldine Fay passed away on June 5, 2012 peacefully surrounded by her four children, a week short of her 93rd birthday. Born in Brooklyn in 1919, she moved to Congers as a child where she met her husband, Joseph, who predeceased her in 1964. Also predeceased by her brother, Gerard Harrigan in 1945, her sisters, Agnes, Frances and Grace, and her son-in-law, Charles Berbenich. Geraldine is survived by her four children, Joseph A. Jr., Gerard, daughters, Kathleen Mishebow(Mark), Diane Berbenich; two granddaughters, Victoria Essig (Mike) and Jennifer Keyes (William); and great-grandchildren, Robert Essig, Brianna Essig, Emma Keyes, John Keyes, numerous nieces and nephews, two sisters-in-law, Catherine Girling and Frances Fay. She will be missed for her love of her family and her wonderful sense of humor that stayed with her until the end. Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Higgins Funeral Home Congers, NY. A Service will be held 10:30AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY.
