GRACE M. O'HAGAN

Grace M. O'Hagan (nee Outwater), 83 years, a longtime resident of Briarcliff Manor, NY currently of Somers died Thursday, February 3, 2011 after a short battle with lung cancer. She is the daughter of the late Marshall and Edith (Doty) Outwater. She was predeceased by her daughter, Hope Ann and her husband, John F. O'Hagan, Sr., her grandson, Connor O'Hagan and her loving sister, Jane Outwater Young. Grace was born in Yonkers, NY and raised in Riverdale, NY. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Yonkers, NY. Grace was employed at the Horace Mann School in Riverdale, NY. She was married to John, her husband, in 1948 for 58 years. Grace was a longtime parishioner of St. Theresa R.C. Church, Briarcliff Manor, NY. Grace was a dedicated volunteer at Meals on Wheels, Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women Nursery and Phelps Memorial Hospital. In her later years, she was happily employed at Gap Kids in Mt Kisco. Grace is the amazing mother of ten children: John, Jr, Michael, Gary, Jane Tambone, Donald, Brian, Elizabeth Cassidy, Patricia O'Hagan-Schoen, Christopher, Theresa O'HaganRuotolo and the cherished grandmother of 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Grace joins her eternal best friend, Betty Borho and leaves behind her dear sister, Audrey O'Brien and great friends, Trudy Miller and Ruth Weldon. The family is deeply appreciative to Dr. Martin Saltzman for his compassion and care of their mother. The family will receive friends Monday, February 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues., 10 AM, Feb. 8 at St. Patrick's Church, Bedford, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Memorial donations in Grace's name may be sent to Northern Westchester Hospital, Mt. Kisco, NY or Celia Dill Dialysis Center, 667 Stoneleigh Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512.
