Helen Quinn Obituary
Peekskill - Helen Redeker Quinn passed away July 26th, 2018 in Cohoes, NY after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Helen was born to George and Helen (Radigan) Redeker on November 23, 1930 and was a lifelong resident of the Peekskill area. She graduated from Peekskill High School in 1948 and worked in New York City in several administrative roles, where she met Joseph T. Quinn, marrying in May 1952. Joe and Helen settled in Cortlandt Manor, NY, where they raised five children. Helen was a former member of the Peekskill Garden Club, and the Red Hats. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Kearns (John) of Cortlandt Manor, NY; Holly Schulte (Phil) of Burnt Hills, NY; and sons Richard (Cindi), Timothy (Lucy) both of Ballston Lake, NY; and Joseph of Cortlandt Manor; her sister Peggy Furfaro, twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, sister Maude Travis, and brother Walter Miller. Visiting at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home 1100 Cortlandt St. Peekskill, on Friday August 3rd from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Holy Spirit, Cortlandt Manor, NY at 10:00 AM on August 4, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
