Jack Treloar Obituary
Jack William Treloar, 92, passed away at Rosary Hill Home on December 15, 2011. Son of the late William Alfred and Ruby (Watcham) Treloar, he was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on December 1, 1919, and emigrated to the United States in 1922 where he grew up in NYC. During WWII, from 1941 to 1945 he served in the South Pacific after which he returned to his job at First National City Bank and worked there until his retirement in 1977. He married Louise Hilton on September 29, 1945, and they raised their three children in Dumont, New Jersey. He later married Marie Dodge on October 6, 1979, and they lived outside Charlottesville, Virginia, for many years. He is survived by his daughters Jacqueline (husband Walter) Fowler of Yorktown Hts, NY, and Veronica "Jill" (husband Pieter) Litchfield of Saratoga Springs, NY, his son Jack W.H. Treloar of Bergenfield, NJ, his stepdaughter Margaret Dodge of Larchmont, NY, his three grandchildren Scott, Christopher and Victoria and a great grandson Kobe. Jack was predeceased by his wives and his sister Vera Gibson. He will be greatly missed.
Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Ave., Hawthorne, NY 10532.
