JAMES ENRIGHT Obituary

James Evan Enright, 80, died on December 26, 2003 at his home following a short illness. Mr. Enright was born in Kingston on August 27, 1923, the son of the late Eugene and Minnie (Edwards) Enright. He was raised and educated in Schenectady and served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army Air Force, where he was assigned to the 364th Fighter Squadron during WWII. Following the war, he furthered his education at Union College in Schenectady, from where he graduated in 1949. Mr. Enright served as a District Manager for Operator Services with New York Telephone, NYNEX and AT&T, having retired in 1985. He was a past President of both the White Plains Exchange Club and Interservices of White Plains. Survivors include his companion Mary R. McKeown of Highland Mills; cousins Ann Weaver and family of Canandaigua, and Dorothy Edwards and family of Newport; and a dear friend Mary Jean Turanica of New Rochelle. He was predeceased by his wife Marion J. (Cummings) Enright in 1980. Funeral Services will be held at the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport, on Saturday at 9:30 AM and at St. John's Church, Newport, at 10 AM, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday evening from 6-9 PM. Spring Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery, Newport. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Hospice Palliative Care of Westchester, 95 South Broadway, 4th Floor, White Plains, NY 10601.
