JEANNETTE MORRISON

Jeannette Morrison, a lifelong North Tarrytown resident, passed away on August 27, 2006 after a yearlong struggle with brain cancer. She was 74. Mrs. Morrison was born on April 7, 1932 to Adelard and Edna Collette Mallet in North Tarrytown. She married Clifford T. Morrison on August 16, 1952 at St. Teresa of Avila Church in North Tarrytown. He later predeceased her on October 15, 2001. She worked for 37 years as a waitress at Sleepy Hollow Country Club before retiring last year. She was an active member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors, an active parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church, Member of the American French Club, a Cherry Door Volunteer, and an avid bowler. She is survived by her children: David J. (Donna) Morrison of Briarcliff Manor, Diane M. (Michael) McNamara of Stamford, Ct. Debra A. (Roy) Walter of Mansfield, Oh., Denise E. (Robert) Knox of Bowie, MD., and Dennis M. (Ann) of Schaunberg, Il. She is also survived by 18 Grandchildren: Jessica, David, Bradley, and Sarah Morrison, Megan Stephanie, and Thomas McNamara, Cassandra, Benjamin, and Zachary Walter. Morrison and Ryan Knox, and Douglas, Daniel, Christian, Cooper, Cheyann, and Miranda Morrison. She is also survived by her four great grandchildren: Samantha, Eleanor, and Lucille Morrison and Maxwell Weaver. She is also survived by her sister Theresa Ferguson of Sleepy Hollow as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Donald Morrison in October of 1990. Visitation will be held from 7-9 PM on Tuesday and 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Wednesday at COFFEY FUNERAL HOME INC. in Tarrytown. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Sleepy Hollow. Her interment will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
