John Fitzpatrick Obituary
John was born in Yonkers to parents John Scher & Rita (née Levanti). After his fathers death he was raised by his mother and Phil Fitzpatrick.
He is survived by his son John (Amanda) and his grandchildren Gianna and Camila. John spent 17 years with the love of his life Madeleine and her daughters Heidi and Lindsay. John was previously married to Phyllis with whom they had their son.
John was loved by his family and will be missed by his brother Mike (Dana) and sisters Barbara (Ed) Annemarie (Louie) Mary (Angelo) Julie (Regis) and Rita (Andre) as well as many nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his brothers Gerard and Philip and sister Janice. He will also be reunited with his best friend of many years Rick.
John loved Greenwood Lake and coaching youth baseball. John enjoyed time outside during his younger years, painting and traveling. In recent years John could usually be found playing computer games while enjoying "paradise" in Greenwood Lake. John would often be seen with his dogs Rusty and Ruby by his side. He will be deeply missed.
The family will have a small celebration of life in a private gathering.

John has been a good friend online for the past five years. Sometimes we saw eye-to-eye, sometimes we clashed like two bulls in a pen. We had a lot of good times, and it was an honor to know him. "oilpaints", "actionce", you will always be remembered. Lots of inside guidance, and many discussions on the importance of family. Thank you for sharing your life and insites with me. And may you always avoid the shuffling of slippers coming down the hallway.
