John J. McEntee of Pearl River, NY, "Con Ed John", formerly of Bronx, NY died Sunday June 28, 2009 at Nyack Hospital. He was 83. John was an A 1 mechanic for Con Edison in New York City for 37 years before retiring. John was born February 3, 1926 in New York City to Edward and Theresa McEntee. Mr. McEntee served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Locally, he was a member of John H. Secor Post 329 American Legion and the AOH of Pearl River. He is survived by his son Edward McEntee (retired NYPD detective) and daughter Marianne Reilly of Pearl River, NY. He was the proud grandfather of seven grandsons Edward, Chris, Dan, Andrew, Connor, Luke and Liam. He is also survived by two sisters Ann Riley and Theresa Ptacek and brother Thomas McEntee. He is predeceased by his wife Mary (2000) and brother Edward. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Aedans R.C.Church, Pearl River, NY. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY. Visiting is Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
