John O'Grady Obituary
Pearl River - John F. O'Grady, formerly of the Bronx, passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside on January 26, 2019, he was 81 years old. John was born in Jersey City on September 11, 1937, to Joseph and Margaret (O'Rourke) O'Grady.
John served in the United States Navy and was retired from the New York City Police Department. He is predeceased by his loving wife Noreen and his son Joseph. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia (Pete) Flynn and Peggy Doddy; his nine grandchildren, Meaghan (Sean) Fitzgerald, Allie and Olivia Flynn; Mikey, Casey and Matty Doddy; Idamene, John Anthony, and Thomas O'Grady; his sister, Margaretta (John) Curran, his sister Helen (John) Yandrasits, and several wonderful nieces and nephews.
Visiting is Friday (today) from 3 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc., 100 Franklin Ave., Pearl River, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Chapel, 175 Rt. 340, Sparkill, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Seton Village, 148 Convent Road, Nanuet, NY 10954.
