JOSEPH LARESE Obituary

Joseph Anthony Larese, 83, of Cold Spring, NY, died February 20, 2007. He was born July 10, 1923 in NYC to the late Giovanni and Emilia (Colletti) Larese. Joseph was an accomplished accordionist and musician, who made numerous appearances as a professional musician on the Major Bowes radio show. He attended schools in Yonkers and graduated from Saunders High School. He served in the Pacific as an Army Amphibious Engineer. In 1947, he married Gloria Varella of Peekskill. He was employed at the Anchor Motor Freight Company, retiring in 1982. Joseph is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughter, Linda Stollmer and son-in-law, Raymond; sons, John and Joseph Larese and daughter-in-law, JoAnn; grandchildren, Laura and David Kozelouzek, Linda, Lauren, Andrea Larese, and Joseph and Jennifer Larese, and great-grandson, Jordan Satomayor; brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Saturday, February 24, 2007, 10:30 AM at the Church of the Assumption, 2nd Street, Peekskill, NY, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery. The family will received friends Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the E.O. CURRY FUNERAL HOME, 313 North James St., Peekskill, NY.
