Joseph Usiak Obituary
Joseph Usiak of Westchester County, NY passed away on May 18, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 21, 1942 in New York City. After graduating from DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx Class of 1960, Joseph joined the Army proudly serving in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1963 to 1965 achieving the rank of SP4. Joseph then embarked on a 45 year career in the meat industry. He married the former Joanna Pulkowski, his life partner of 44 years. Joseph is survived by his wife Joanna, two daughters: Andrea Della Mura and husband Peter, Jeanine Thompson and husband Matt; four grandchildren: Nicholas and Tyler Della Mura, Savannah and Alexis Thompson; one brother Michael Usiak and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home on Sunday May 20 from 5 PM to 8 PM and on Monday May 21 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye on Tuesday May 22 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Hospital, may his memory forever be a blessing.

To the family of Joseph Usiak, I am very sorry to hear about your loved one...I met the family at the Cancer Center in Mt. Kisco. You inspired me to stay strong as I was battling breast cancer...thank you for telling me to stay strong and think positive and now I am sharing the same message to you.
