JOSEPH P. ZOTTI Sr.

Joseph P. Zotti, Sr., 89, a lifelong Yonkers resident , died on May 8, 2009 at St. John's Hospital. Mr. Zotti was born to the late Angelo and Mary Florio Zotti. He was the beloved husband of Joan Oliveira Zotti, who passed away December 18, 2007. Father of Joann Wirchansky and Joseph P. Zotti Jr., a brother Angelo, a sister and brother-in-law Marianne and John Kuvinka, six grandchildren Lisa Marie Lioa, her husband Michael Loia, twins Joseph Peter Zotti III and John Anthony Zotti, James, Bethann, and David Wirchansky. Great grandchildren Nicolette and Mattea, he was uncle to Karen (Kuvinka) Rubbo. He graduated from Saunders High School, enlisted in the United States Army and served in WWII and Korea. He was the owner of Zotti Electric. He lived a full life, from his love of dancing with his wife, sports, the Yankees, gardening and could always be found at his second home with his many friends at the Homefield Bowl. The real love of his life was his wife Joan, his family, children and grandchildren. He was a remarkably strong but kind, giving man who will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Visiting will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. A funeral service will be Wednesday 10:30AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
