Kenneth Podolski Obituary
Dobbs Ferry - Kenneth Duane Podolski of Dobbs Ferry passed away on January 8, 2018 at the young age of 62.
Kenny was born on July 1, 1955 in Yonkers, NY to the late Charles & Joan Podolski. He proudly served his country from 1973 to 1977 aboard the USS Joseph Hewes. Ken's training as an electrician in the Navy helped propel him to a lifetime career as a fuel oil mechanic. Ken was a long-term member & Shop Steward of Local 456. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
Kenny was a true family man who is survived by his wife, Claire and daughter, Joan, as well as six siblings, Gary, Charlene, Gail, Charlie, Carolyn and Karen. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Kenny was a selfless man whose heart, kindness & generosity were as big as him. He meant so much more than words can ever say. His unconditional love & devotion to his family will always be cherished.
Wake services will be held on Thursday, January 11th 2 - 4PM & 7 - 9PM at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry.
Funeral Mass Friday, Jan. 12th, 10AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

I heard that Kenny had passed and I was so sorry and sad to hear the news.
Something made me think of him today and I came to this page.
My heart goes out to all who loved him... He was a really good person and it is so sad that he is gone.
I'm just sending a nod up to him today and a message of kindness, compassion and healing to those he left behind.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I served with Ken on the Joseph Hewes and we became good friends as I was also from NewYork. I saw him last in 2015 at the reunion in Charleston and we had a lot of good laughs. He took me hunting for the first time upstate when I got out of the Navy. He will be missed!!

Claire and Joanie,I am truly sorry for your loss. I am sad that I was not able to attend the services. Kenny was one of the good ones for sure.Even though I have lost touch with the family he has been in my thoughts and prayers.May the care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead.
